Be a fan of Health! Special Olympics Massachusetts
(SOMA) provides nearly 11,000 athletes with year
round athletic competitions and opportunities for
physical fitness development. Through sports
training and competition, and the increased exposure
to quality healthcare screenings and professionals,
individuals with intellectual disabilities are
living healthy, vibrant lives by their association
with Special Olympics. Through successful
experiences in sports, our athletes gain confidence
and build positive self-images, which they carry
into their homes, classrooms, jobs, and communities.
